My Story

Hi there! I'm Lisa, and I'm so glad you're here. I'm a super driven and equally silly person who loves to laugh and find joy in the little things. I tend to ramble and chase squirrels in conversation just to see if you can keep up with me... but that's just me being me!

I spent more time in college than most doctors, but it wasn't because I couldn't decide on a major. I simply have a passion for learning, and I wanted to soak up as much knowledge as I possibly could. My experiences in college led me to pursue a career in exercise physiology, coaching, and psychology, which has allowed me to speak into other people's lives who are directly or indirectly affected by eating disorders.

Reaching hearts and expanding hope by leading others to freedom in knowing the truth.

Continued. . .

Speaking of which, I myself struggled with an eating disorder that almost cost me my life. But by God's redeeming grace, I overcame it, and now I'm passionate about sharing my story and offering hope and encouragement to others who may be going through similar struggles.

Aside from my work, I'm a child at heart who loves peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and orange juice. I'm also an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys spending time in nature doing something sporty, surrounded by loved ones, with a book and journal in my backpack so I can sneak off to a serene spot and read and write.

I live on the Gulf Coast in South Mississippi with my husband Jamey and our three energetic and strong-willed children: Seryna, Skylar, and Ayden. We're all extroverts, and we love blazing trails and having fun together. We may not be the most organized bunch, but we make up for it with enthusiasm and joy.

I hope you'll keep coming back to learn fresh perspectives and insights from me, laced with a little bit of silly. Most of all, I hope that through my words, you'll fall in love with Jesus, the one who saved me, gave me a second chance at life, and continues to save me every day.
